Build Great Things.
System One Fabric enables you to develop custom strategies based on our semantic core platform. No matter if you want to build a new system or enhance an existing one, may it be an internal special purpose search engine or a new consumer offering on the web. With the ability to deeply understand and co-develop business objectives as one of core strengths: If you can think of it, we can build and run it.
System One Platform
All our custom System One Fabric solutions share a common technological platform. Created without legacy from 2005 on, it is the result of a long semantic web experience. It has also been proven in many large-scale deployments and follows modern web paradigms, with independent components that scale horizontally on commodity hardware and are interconnected via lightweight web services.

External Application Example:

Enhance Existing Offerings
System One Fabric automates functionalities that so far have been too time consuming or complicated. A classic example is automated tagging and linking, which is hard to accomplish manually across large sites but vital to users who are expecting a truly contextual experience. This need increases steadily as usage patterns on the web are influenced by context driven platforms like YouTube or Wikipedia. At the same time more users arrive via deep-links, bypassing traditional navigation frameworks. The extremely flexible platform allows you to develop custom solutions to keep users on your site, increase targeting and monetization options and create new high-value inventory like dossier pages on the fly.

Create New Services
While there is no real limit except your imagination, projects we work on include: A new kind of Radio companion that uses very basic data (current song & artist) to automatically build a complete portal around the current program, including direct monetarization, as well as a widget that works on the existing website, users desktops, screensavers and mobile devices. The same was done for TV, where a user can navigate from the cast of the current movie to a director to a topic to tomorrows program to ordering or downloading a DVD set. Another example is an infrastructure to generate topic-specific news aggregation portals, targeted at a narrow audience at extremely low cost, thus yielding high margins along the long tail of interests. Links will be added continuously as projects go live in 2009.

Internal Application Example:

Build Custom Corporate Systems
The same strategies also make sense within corporate environments: Semantic search, automated tagging and cross-relating of employee profiles and billions of documents are basic applications to enhance intranets or DMS/KMS installations. Another enhancement is the creation of hundreds or thousands of topic dossiers combined with powerful real-time analytics and recommendations (eg a new and fully automated Travel Center combining all resources triggered by increased interest). Examples for new services include an expertise search engine for a global consulting company, where 600m documents from more than two dozens completely different sources are consolidated and more than 800.000 expert profiles are extracted. This ensures that research time is massively reduced and consultants can be sure that they tap and staff the best experts for their current assignment.
